No doubt you’ve been hearing a lot about The Hunger Games books and the movie that came out last month. I read all three books sometime last year and fell in love with them. I’m planning on seeing the movie this weekend, and I just hope it lives up to the books—even just a little bit.
The Hunger Games might technically be young adult fiction, but don’t assume this is Twilight-like garbage. Yes, there is a love triangle, but there’s a whole lot more. Our heroine is Katniss, the brave, independent and strong-willed teenage girl who fights her way through a savage game of survival and into our hearts. She is fierce and yet compassionate, loyal to her family and home town and will do anything to save the ones she loves.
If you haven’t read the books yet, DO IT NOW! Honestly, it won’t take you long… they are absolute page turners.
