I’m lucky enough to live about 5 miles from Venice Beach—far enough to have peace and quite, but definitely close enough to know where to find the easiest parking (don’t bother! take the bus!) and get the best margarita. Even with it’s close proximity, it’s embarrassing how little I go to the beach. That’s why I’m always excited when friends from out of town come to visit!
One of my oldest girlfriends from elementary school (I met her when I was 6 and she was 7) is coming home for a week and I am already planning the most amazing beach trip possible. For me, “amazing beach trip” means a couple things… cute bathing suit, good reading material, sunscreen/tanning lotion, and a cover up when the wind picks up. And since it’s summer, everything should be bright and colorful!
