Dorm Design //

I never lived on campus, and looking back I kinda wish that I had. Sure the dorms are tiny and you have no privacy, but it’s a once in a lifetime experience full of new friends and life-long memories. If I was to do it all again, I’d take a few colorful and stylish pieces with me to freshen up the boring old dormitories.

Did you live on campus? What was your dorm like?

I’ve always lived in apartments, myself. But I’ve never had a strong desire to live in a cramped shoebox dorm with three other girls! And besides, you can decorate your own place much much cuter… without R.A. approval!

You and I have similar taste :-) I have the Dualit toaster above but it’s in a lighter pink, I like this candy pink better. I have a laptop case by the same artist but it is the lotus flower print, this red print gave me pause too. And I’m always eyeing those field notes journals! I’m a bit older and went to college in the early 90s. People didn’t decorate as much then, especially in Hawaii. A couple of posters, a dry erase/corkboard on the door and that was pretty much it. I love small space design so am enjoying all the recent buzz around dorm interiors (blogs, articles, images on instagram).

Lovely blog btw, I hopped over from the BYW google reader list.

I’ ve never lived in a dorm but I had my own small room in Shared appartments. I remember how I loved to make these tiny rooms my very own retreat and I paid attention to using multifunctional furniture and decorative items to make it cosy.
Already back then I bought most of my furniture 2nd hand and I still have some of it today.
    Love your Collection!
