Today I’ll be attending the Blogshop video class, here in LA! I’ve been dying to explore the video setting on my new camera, and now’s the time. It’s my birthday/Christmas present to myself, and I’m hoping to gain some new skills to take me into the new year. One of the main reasons I wanted to take Blogshop’s video course instead of someone else’s, or just learning from M, is that Bri and Angela will be teaching us how to edit using Photoshop CS6. Learning Final Cut Pro, Premiere or any other editing software was always hurdle for me since I’d have to familiarize myself with a completely foreign interface, set of tools, etc. As you might have guessed, I am pretty good with Photoshop, so I’m hoping that learning how to edit will be second nature. I’m excited to show you all what I’ve learned!
The New Fashioned Wedding arrived in my mailbox bright and early Saturday morning, just in time for my appointment with my florist. The book is a “best-of” Bash, Please’s beautifully designed events. It’s full of inspiration for all brides and any one who loves to throw a good party. I haven’t had the time to completely devour the book yet, but trust me, I will. If you’re in the LA area this week, the Bash girls are doing a book launch party at Urbanic on Thursday (more info here). I’m sad I won’t be able to make it, so let me know how awesome it is!
On of my friends introduced me to Ben Howard a long time ago, but I have completely forgotten who it was (Friend if you’re reading this, please let me know who you are! It’s driving my crazy…). I remember because my friend loved the phrase “happy hearted” in the song Old Pine. I thought it was a good song at the time but for some reason it didn’t stick. And then BAM, I heard the song again a couple weeks ago, and I am in love. I can’t stop listening to this stupid song. It’s stuck in my head. Thank you friend, whoever you are, for what you planted in my brain. Oh yeah, the rest of the album Every Kingdom is wonderful too.
