Currently // Back to Work + Wedding Planning + Studio DIY Logo and Web Redesign

Wow. Sorry it’s been so quiet around here folks. I got too used to that holiday break, and it’s taken me a while to get my momentum back. But 2013 is in full swing around here now. M is already sick, and I’m back to working round the clock. I don’t mind though. We had a lovely vacation and I really can’t complain. Hawaii was rainy, fun and exciting, and PA was snowy, cold and magical all it’s own. It’s been a whirlwind, so I’m glad to be back at home in my little office, getting started on the great things this year is already offering up.

As with everything else, wedding planning is starting to pick up. Our date is nearly set, and we’ll be looking at the location of my dreams later today (fingers crossed everyone)! The guest list is finalized, caterers have been called, and dress appointments in process. It’s so exciting I can hardly breathe. M has taken his fair share of interest too. He’s searching out the perfect photographer, and calling around to venues. I haven’t decided how much wedding planning / inspiration will make it’s way onto this here blog, but you can bet a bit will. In the meantime, follow my Big Day <3 board on Pinterest to get a sense of what I have in mind. And pleasedrop me an email or a comment if you know of great vendors in the LA area, or wedding planning tips in general. I would love to hear them.

My dear friend Kelly from Studio DIY and I have been working on redesigning her branding and website for a few months now, and I’m so excited to finally show it to you! We started with the logo design, color palette, and font selection that makes up the branding. From there we reorganized the content on Kelly’s site, and put a fresh face on it. My good friend, and famously talented developer, Angie Shields helped us out with the heavy lifting and making everything work smoothly. It was truly a team effort and enormously fun. The site is clean, easy to use and uniquely Kelly. I especially love the filtered search which allows you to find the perfect DIY project for any holiday or event from Kelly’s archive.

But enough about me… how is your 2013 so far?
