Happy Monday! Over the weekend I went shopping with my “aunt” (no relation, but that’s what I call her) and I came across these Ugg fringe boots at a major discount. Now, I usually don’t go for this style, but I’ve been watching a lot of Friday Night Lights and I’ve started to appreciate the whole cowboy look more. These boots are so dang comfy, I can’t wait until fall really gets here and I can wear them everyday.

This friday we’re heading to the last wedding of the season all the way over in St Louis, Missouri! I’m excited to spend a weekend and check out this town. If you know of any good BBQ or shopping spots, please let me know! (The cute illustration above is from this website).

Last night we watched the season finale of Breaking Bad at my parent’s house (we don’t have cable) so we wouldn’t run across any spoilers today. It was such a great show. I’ll never forget how my mom started watching it first and I couldn’t believe she would like a show about cooking meth! But 6 years later, I have to agree. Check out the cool Breaking Bad fan art like the one above.

Hello! I live in St. Louis and can give you a few ideas. If you are interested in BBQ, Bogart’s Smokehouse (bogartssmokehouse.com) and Pappy’s (pappyssmokehouse.com) are very popular, but I haven’t tried them myself. Pappy’s usually has a crazy line and they sell out. I personally love Bandana’s (bandanasbbq.com), even though they are a chain restaurant.

If you want an interesting place to shop you could check out the Delmar Loop (visittheloop.com), or the Central West End (cwescene.com) or even Cherokee Street (http://cherokeeantiquerow.com/). If you are interested in mall shopping there is the Galleria (saintlouisgalleria.com).

But if you want something to DO, I would highly recommend a visit to downtown and The City Museum (citymuseum.org) and the Citygarden (citygardenstl.org), and don’t forget the Arch. And if you like thai food don’t miss Sen Thai (senthaibistro.com). Further west in Forest Park is our amazing free zoo (stlzoo.org) and art museum – also free (slam.org), and you can even rent a rowboat at The Boathouse (boathouseforestpark.com). Oh, and the Botanical Garden!! (missouribotanicalgarden.org) They are having their Best of Missouri Market this weekend and I’m looking forward to going this Sunday.

Sorry, this is probably way too many ideas! I guess you still need some time to go to that wedding!

I soooo want to go to St Louis. Dang, it’s the one big stop I missed when I did my rail tour! I can’t wait to hear about the trip.
