Unique LA // I’ve posted about this event before, but I want to talk about it again. Last weekend was the Unique LA Spring Showcase, and it was awesome. I am always amazed by the sheer number of vendors. The market is cavernous, going on and on and on. It’s easy to loose your sense of direction. I bought a lot of gifts this year, and a few items that have been on my own wishlist for a while. I’ll post more about the vendors I bought from later this week, so stay tuned! Image

Motown Music from Hitsville USA // I love Motown music. I’ve always known I was a fan, but for the past few days I’ve been listening to the Hitsville USA collection, and WOW, it’s amazing. Just one fabulous song after another. I highly recommend it for party background music, cooking in the kitchen music, working music, or just feel good spontaneous dancing music. The whole thing is on Spotify too, which is awesome.

Kim Weston // Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me A Little While) —One of my favorites!

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein // I finished this book in 2 days. I was also having a really bad case of insomnia, but that’s besides the point. This book is awesome. If you are a dog owner/lover you must read this book. If you are an animal lover in general, you should read this book. Also, if you like cars and/or race car driving, you should read this book. It’s the story of the family dog watching and interpreting the goings on in the family dynamic. He is a philosopher and yet, and animal which is really interesting. This book has changed the way I think about the world, especially when I interact with the animals that inhabit this space with us.
